Passion is the key driver and biggest motivator in life. When you love what you do, you live a life that is happy and contented.

Peter Sankale popularly known as Olexander Josephat is a veteran in the acting scene. He made his debut in Kenyan Television in Family based show Vitimbi that aired in KBC. His brand however grew more after he joined the court based drama Vioja Mahakamani.

Peter Sankale disclosed on an interview with Comedy king Churchill that he ditched his job as a banker so that he would pursue his passion.

His parents were discouraged and discouraged him.

“For my parents it was like I was not serious. They would wonder when I would become serious. Eventually it became a career. Actually after school I ended up in a bank called Pan African Bank. My parents were happy because it was a white collar job. My family did not my decision when I started other than one is around, one passed and my siblings. They used to appreciate my talent since we were young,” He said.

He further revealed that he used to make 700 hundred shillings when he started out. He said that the passion he had made him persevere the little pay.

He thanked his then manager Jimmy Gitonga for seeing his talent and encouraging him to go to the Kenya National Theatre for auditions. The legend however says that he does not want peole to celebrate him.

He would rather people celebrate his journey,his perserverance and his contribution to the entertainment industry. He has been acting for 30 years.

Olexander is a staunch christian and sings in the choir.

Peter said that if he was not an actor he would have become a lawyer only that he lacked school fees.

Mr.Sankale has urged the young upcoming artist to exercise patient and know that building a brand takes time.

Life after Vioja Mahakamani

Olexander was among the actors who left KBC in a show of solidarity with their Vitimbi counterparts who had been shown the door due to old age. Lucy Wangui-who played the Judge on Vioja-said of their decision to leave the national broadcaster:

“when the cast of Vitimbi was told to leave due to their old age, we quit in solidarity as we are a family”.

Hullaballo Estate-Maisha Magic

The cast left KBC enmass in 2015 but it did not take long before lady luck came calling. Olexander once again teamed up Makokha and Ondieki to star in Hullaballo Estate aired on Maisha Magic.

Hullaballo Estate-paid about kes20,000 per episode.

Daktari-KTN

Their exit from KBC was a blessing in disguise. Olexander was to rejoin his old colleagues for the now must watch Daktari, a sitcom aired on KTN.

Emcee-Olexander

Emcee-Olexander is one of the best Emcees in the country. His finesse in the trade has seen him have gigs in the US. He makes between kes30,000 to kes150,000 to emcee in weddings.
