Kikuyu man sets standards high as he hires choppers to pay dowry for lover (PHOTOS)
After arriving in a helicopter to pay dowry for his longtime sweetheart in Kagio, Kirinyaga, Central Kenya, a Kikuyu man became the talk of the town.
The man, who has been identified as John Cena, hired two helicopters to take him and his buddies to the home of his future in-laws for the dowry payment ceremony.
The groom and his pals were met at a dusty location and given red carpets to walk on as they made their way to the wedding location in style.
John then sat down next to his wife, who was lounging in a comfortable queen chair wearing an African dress with a brow and red sash.
The entourage’s loud helicopters ruffled the peaceful town, and the residents rushed to catch a look of them.
Muthee Kiengei, the event’s MC and a former media star turned pastor, posted pictures from the extravagant ceremony on social media. Kiengei wished his friend John luck in his marriage and offered his congratulations.
Some online users were astounded by John’s grand entry to his in-laws’ home and claimed that he had outdone Luos, who are known for going all out for romantic relationships.
