Gloria Muliro’s Reaction to ‘Ekwueme’ Singer Osinachi’s Death: “Don’t Wait To Die”

Kenyan gospel singer Gloria Muliro has taken to her Facebook page to mourn the death of her fellow gospel singer from Nigeria, Osinachi Nwachuku, who passed away on Friday 8.

The ‘Ekuweme’ hitmaker had been to the ICU for a couple of days before her passing. Her family claimed that she was a victim of domestic violence as her husband kicked her in her chest, causing her to have a cluster of blood in her chest.

Her husband, however, had given a contradicting report that she had died of blood cancer.

In her message, Gloria, also a victim of domestic violence in her previous marriage with Bishop Eric Omba, said she was saddened by how Osinachi had met her untimely death. She went on to advise men and women not to stay in abusive relationships fearing the shame that comes with separation.

She argued that separation can be a blessing in disguise and urged people not to wait to die in abusive relationships. She concluded her message by thanking God for saving her from an abusive relationship and giving her a husband that loves and makes her happy.

Her emotional message read, “My heart bleeds for this soul. Minister Osinachi, Rest. Ladies! Men! What if the shame of “what will they say…” is your healing in disguise? listen, is your life at risk? DONT WAIT TO DIE! Thank God I’m alive, happy and loved.”

In October last year, Gloria finally wedded Evans Sabawami in a colorful wedding, several years after she divorced Eric Omba, whom he accused of abusing her emotionally and financially. She also accused Eric of cheating on her.

Unlike Gloria, Osinachi had refused to divorce her abusive husband, arguing that God hates divorce. Her elder sister, Favor Made, claimed that the family had tried in vain to advise Osinachi to leave her marriage, and they were saddened that she paid the price with her life.

Apart from Gloria, other East African gospel musicians have mourned the celebrated singer online.

Rose Muhando claimed that she was heartbroken by Osinachi’s sudden death as they were planning to do a song together.
