Actor Nicki Bigfish’s Comedy Skit on Landlords’ Behavior Lands him in Trouble
If there is one thing comedians have learned after Will Smith Slapped Chris Rock at The Oscars is being careful about their jokes because they do not know how the audience will react.
Content Creator and actor Nicki Bigfish seemingly did not get this lesson, and, now, he is in trouble with his landlord after posting a comic skit criticizing how landlords harass their tenants to pay their rent without caring to listen to their troubles.
The landlord took the criticism personally and was not happy. He accused Nicki of inciting tenants not to pay their rent. He resolved to give Nicki a 30-days-notice to vacate his house through a letter. In the letter, he cited that Nicki was no longer a suitable tenant after posting the viral video, and he requested to vacate and leave the house the same way he found it.
Like a typical Kenyan, Nick did not take the landlord seriously. The 30-days-notice is now over, and he has not vacated as instructed, causing the landlord to be angrier.
Nick shared a screenshot of their conversation in which the landlord tells him that his “time is up,” so he should vacate, otherwise he calls Ras and his team to throw him out.
Nick bravely responds to the fuming landlord that he will not vacate because he has realized that his eviction is unlawful. He even dares him to evict him, threatening that he will involve his lawyers to fight for his rights.
His response angers the landlord more, and he threatens to fight back Nicki’s resistance. “Wacha tupambane tuone, mimi sibembelezi,” he said.
