Juliana Cherera’s former student praises her for being a creative and sharp drama teacher

Filmmaker and cinematographer Daudi Anguka has commented on the hot topic of the 4 IEBC commissioners who disagreed with IEBC president Wafula Chebukati on the recently announced Presidential results.

The four commissioners convened a press conference to express their disagreement and position on the topic. Juliana Cherera, a commissioner and vice chair of the IEBC, attracted particular attention.

Online debate has centered on Cherera, whose mathematical computation has many Kenyans scratching their heads.

In an exclusive interview, the director described Cherera as a knowledgeable and imaginative professor.

She was Daudi’s mentor at Kajembe High School and a theatre teacher.

He admitted to Kalondu that her math teachings stood out as the most unforgettable.

“She taught many subjects, but for me most she taught us languages in Secondary school, then in Drama because she was someone who was very creative. She was very sharp and someone who was very fast so you will find that the level she reached ni mtu kwa hesabu vile watu wanasema,” Daudi said.

Cherera was a strong believer in talent, and she encouraged kids to succeed in core curricular tasks, according to Daudi.
