“Wanyonge wanaumia” – Eric Omondi rescues boda boda rider who was fined 25K for trespassing

Comedian Eric Omondi has come to the rescue of a poor boda boda rider who was fined in court for trespassing.

In a video that was shared by the celebrity, the young  man wasslapped with a Ksh 25,000 for “passing through an area he is not registered in”.

“Our time is coming and we are going to change this Country. This is a boda boda guy who today was SLAPPED with a Ksh 25,000 for “passing through an area he is not registered in”.

This guy makes 700 bob a day, where do you expect him to get the 25K. He has a wife and Children then you take him to Jail for 6 Months.

In a video seen by Mkenyaleo.co.ke, the guy broke down in tears, rolling down as he begged the court to forgive him or reduce the fine.

He bemoaned the fact that he was merely a visitor and that it was only after his detention that he realized he had been trespassing.

“Mmeniua aki si mnipunguzie aki. Baba naomba aki naomba. Kitu mimi najua, hakuna. Kitu hakuna nimefanya. He said, “Hii ni maisha gani.

He said that it was an honest mistake and that he was disoriented in the region.

Eric Omondi has since secured his release.
