“Simtaki tena” – Sylvia Ssaru reveals she stopped crushing on Otile Brown

Kenyan singer SylviaS Ssaru admitted that once Otile Brown failed to pursue her, she lost track of his existence.

Ssaru had a tremendous crush on Otile for a very long time since she thought he was so attractive, and she wasn’t ashamed to admit it.

She approached the superstar singer and instructed him to approach her. Otile didn’t retaliate or pursue her, though.

In an interview with TUKO, Ssaru said she got over her crush.

“I forgot about him completely. He looks good, but it was just a normal crush. It was not like I was too obsessed with him,” she said.

The Nimerudi Tena hitmaker disclosed she is currently in a relationship.

“Currently I’m taken and happy about it. I’m off the market,” she added.

Ssaru confesses love for Otile

A few weeks ago, the Gengetone rapper revealed that singer Otile Brown was her celebrity crush.

Speaking with comedian Oga Obinna, the rapper said she was not interested in dating him.

“Otile Brown is my crush. I won’t necessarily drop my boyfriend, you know a crush is a short time feeling, I would just hit and run,” Ssaru said.

In a previous episode of the show, comedian Fred Omondi had named Ssaru as his celebrity crush, saying that he would only like to have a good time with her.

“Weirdly enough I have never thought of a female celebrity that I would want to marry, maybe just smashing. Ssaru and I told her I would smash her,” said Fred.

Speaking in a past interview, Ssaru disclosed that her hit song with Jovial was more than just a song, but a message to a man she has had a crush on.

“For the longest time, the accepted norm has always been that it’s okay for guys to talk about their crushes, and how they would want to live out their fantasies if they ever had the chance.

However, it has always been considered taboo for women to do the same, and so that’s why we wanted to push it. To show that women also harbour such feelings.”
