Bob Collymore’s Widow Amazed by How Men Hit on Her When She is a Wig

Former Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore’s widow Wambui Kamiru has opened up about how men hit on her when she is in a wig.

Speaking in a inspiration podcast where she was sharing about her artwork, Wambui claimed that men did not hit on her that much when she had dreadlocks.

She went to explain an experience she had in the US a while back. She claimed that she had dreadlocks but decided to wear a wig, only to puzzled after three men hit on her asking for her number.

“I remember once in the US I decided to wear a wig and got to the hardware store,” she recalled.

Adding, “By the time I had gotten to the middle store I had three men stop me and ask for my phone number.”

Men’s tendency to hit her when she is in a wig has left her concluding that men’s perception about women is highly influenced by how the latter dress their hair.

Dreadlocks are mostly associated with masculinity and thuggery while wigs are aligned is sassy and sexiness.

In her part, Wambui thinks that wigs make her look easier and approachable, and that is why men hit on her more when she is in a wig.

“I feel that it has more to do with the perception the other person has of me based on how I present myself. So I possibly looked easier to handle or approach, I don’t know,” she said.

Currently, Wambui rocks in her short hair and she still looks beautiful. Probably, men must still be hitting on her.

Wambui was widowed in 2019  after her husband, Bob Collymore, succumbed to  Leukemia.
