Wakavinye Opens Up on Her Humble Beginning: “All makangas in Githurai knew my name!”
After graduating from high school, Wakavinye, the wife of well-known comedian Njugush, claims she never had to pay for bus ticket because she had a makanga “buddy.”
Wakavinye highlighted several crazy things she did in her 20s in a video on Njugush’s YouTube channel, one of which was dating a matatu tout after graduating from high school.
“In Githurai, there was no tout who did not know Cele, so I never used to pay the fare. I used to have a ‘friend’ who was a tout so I would board the latest matatus and no one would ask me anything, in fact whenever I got to the stage, they would get me a seat.”
She stated that when she was on her way to class and doing computer packages, she used to carry her flash and hand it to the driver so they could switch the playlist.
Celestine claimed she had two more piercings planned and was saving the cash her parents had given her for bus fare.
