RIP! Citizen TV Journalist Chemutai Goin’s Father Dies

Chemutai Goin, a Citizen TV reporter, is in sadness after her father, Mzee Andrea Arap Goin, died on June 8.

Mzee Goin died of cancer, according to reports reaching the press desk.

He was in the St Luke Hospital in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, receiving treatment.

“At 84, dad fought a fight for his life, in the end, he won, some victories are about peace… We mourn now but in the end, it shall be well,” Chemutai Goin posted on social media.

The deceased worked as an agricultural extension officer and a well-known farmer before retiring.

The patriach made a considerable contribution to the agricultural production of the community.

In Nandi County, he also assisted in the establishment and sponsorship of Cheplelachbei Primary and Secondary Schools.

Deputy President William Ruto led Kenyans in mourning the late Mzee Goin:

“Our prayers and thoughts are with relatives and friends of Goin’s family following the passing on of Mzee Andrea Arap Goin of Cheplelachbei village in Nandi County. Rest In peace.”
