Jubilee Party launches aggressive campaigns for its candidates in Kiambu

With less than a hundred days to the August 9 polls, a serious campaign aimed at popularizing the ruling Jubilee Party candidates has been launched in Thika, Kiambu County.

With an aim to garner almost all the elective positions for the party that is led by President Uhuru Kenyatta, over 4,000 young village influencers have been dispatched to not only convince voters of the need to vote for government-affiliated persons but to also mobilize them on the need to come out in large numbers and vote.

Speaking during the launch of the rigorous campaigns at MKU grounds in Thika, Jubilee leaders expressed optimism that the party will beat their opponents enabling them to clinch most positions in a region that has been termed as a heated battleground between Jubilee and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) that is affiliated with Deputy President William Ruto.

Led by Kiambu governor James Nyoro and Water PS Engineer Joseph Njoroge, the leaders warned their opponents to brace for a resounding defeat as the party will roll out a do or die campaign in the remaining season.

Nyoro urged voters to specifically elect Jubilee MCAs to help the local government formulate critical laws that are geared towards their social-economic development.

“Kiambu youths, let us not hide anymore. Let us say it as it is, that we belong and will support the ruling Jubilee Party. Let us vote for party candidates who will ably help us get our rightful share in the government. These are the people who will help us formulate policies that can help us get quality developments,” said Nyoro.
