3rd Year Murang’a University student commits suicide after argument with boyfriend
A third-year student from the Murang’a University of Technology has killed herself after an argument with her boyfriend.
The student identified as Samantha Nyawira Wanjugu who was pursuing a degree in Tourism Management is said to have taken her own life by hanging herself inside her house around Murang’a town.
In a memo by the Dean of Students Asige Chavulimu dated April 18, 2023, the lady died at around 1:30 am on Tuesday.
The deceased body has since been taken to Murang’a Level 5 Hospital mortuary and burial plans are underway.
“It is with deep sorrow that the office of the Dean of Students announces the passing of Samantha Nyawira Wanjugu. She dies on 18th April 2023 after committing suicide in a rented room near Total Filling Station at around 1:30 am.
