How Esther Musila landed a dream job using mother’s urine

In a candid interview, Ms. Esther Musila, the wife of gospel singer Guardian Angel, shared a remarkable story about her journey to becoming an accountant at a bank in the country.

During the interview with KTN, Ms. Musila revealed that the bank required women to undergo pregnancy tests as part of their employment process. At the time of applying for the job, she was pregnant with her first child and knew she wouldn’t pass the test.

However, determined to secure the position, she ingeniously submitted her mother’s urine for the test and successfully got the job.

Ms. Musila worked diligently at the bank for six years before making the decision to resign. Her primary motivation was to devote more time to raising her young children, who needed her care and attention. Despite leaving the bank at the young age of 26, she felt the need to have her financial independence and not rely on others for money.

After four years of being a homemaker, Ms. Musila realized that she wanted to contribute to her family’s income and sought a job opportunity at the United Nations offices in Gigiri, Nairobi. Her determination and skills earned her a position at the prestigious organization.

Initially given a three-month contract, she proved herself invaluable, leading to an extension of her employment. Remarkably, she has continued to serve in the United Nations for the past twenty-two years.

Although Ms. Musila still has twelve years left until her retirement age at the United Nations, she has already contemplated retiring early.

Despite her long and successful career, she feels the time has come to explore other passions and avenues in life. The inspiring woman’s journey highlights her resilience, adaptability, and dedication to both her family and her professional aspirations.
