Abel Mutua educates Kenyans on fake lifestyle depicted by celebrities online

Abel Mutua, a well-known filmmaker, has cautioned his followers not to get swayed by the opulent lives that some people post on social media.

The majority of these individuals, according to Abel, are engaged in dubious activities and will pay a price for their deeds.

The screenwriter asked his followers to stop comparing themselves to other people and instead concentrate on their hustle in a video that he posted on his TikTok account.

He claimed that only a small percentage of people run real businesses and that social media can be deceptive.

“I just want to educate you that there are things you will see on social media. People live like kings. And you will really admire being like them, but the truth is that only a few of them are doing legit business—only a few of them.

And the majority knows exactly where that money has come from and in most cases, the money is not from legit business.

So you don’t worry just do your hustle; it will pay off. That other group will face the wrath,” he said.

Abel Mutua and his wife Judy are commemorating significant milestones in their respective life journey.

The couple is celebrating its 15th marriage anniversary on her birthday.

Mutua, a celebrated actor, took to social media with a playful and affectionate post, showcasing their enduring love.

In a light-hearted tone, Mutua teased his wife about the passage of time:

“Baby!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 See who is not young anymore. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hivyo ndio Umeondokea youth! Sasa Wewe ni Mwanamke mwenye umri wa makamo. 🤣🤣🤣🤣” The actor playfully suggested that she has graduated from youthfulness and is now a mature woman.

Despite the banter, Mutua expressed genuine admiration, saying:

“But you’re aging so well, Baby. Wewe Hata ukishonewa uniform ya brown Ngiriambu Girls wanakuchukua intake next. Happy Birthday Mama Mumbus. I Love you!!! 😜.”

The couple, in a joint Instagram post, also shared the joyous news of their 15th anniversary.

“15 years later. God has been so good to us,” they wrote, reflecting on the journey of their enduring partnership.

Judy, Abel Mutua’s wife, took a moment to express gratitude on her birthday.

“Thanking God for another year and all the blessings in my life. I pray that my plans, decisions, and actions are guided by God. I pray my mind, body, and spirit are vibrant, healthy, and full of joy and love. Happy birthday to me. #36.”

They first crossed paths during their college years at the Kenya School of Mass Communication, where she was a first-year student, and Abel was in his final year.

Abel reminisced about their initial encounter on his YouTube channel, Stories of My Life, recounting:

“My boy squad and I were relaxing at a popular place in school called ‘Jobless Corner’ when Judy passed by.”

Describing the scenario, he revealed:

“Most of the boys had tried to woo her, but none was able to get her attention. When I got that information, I decided to take up the challenge and try my luck.”

At the time, Judy was just 19 years old and in a relationship with a 28-year-old man.

Unaware of Abel’s celebrity status and that of some of her schoolmates, she had recently arrived from the small village of Kibirigwi in Kirinyaga.

Their daughter, Steph was among millions of Kenyans who sat for their KCPE exam in October, 2023.
