Yesterday, he posted about his excellent dinner date with her on social media to let his followers know.

According to Kaka, her mum treats him like a child by fussing over him.

“‘Ebu Maliza Mboga yako Wewe’ She reminds me that I am still a child, her child. Dinner with Queen Elizabeth. I love you Mama and thanks for the love and for the years.”

He never shies away from celebrating his mother, and even on his online accounts, has pinned a note about how she struggled to raise him, even suffering over rent arrears.

In May 2022, King Kaka fulfilled a promise he made to his mother – Elizabeth Ombima – many years ago when they were still just an ordinary family in Eastlands struggling to make ends meet.

The ‘Shida za kidosi’ hitmaker revealed that they once lived in a house where they used to pay Ksh.500 rent, which they could not even afford so most of the time they would be locked out over arrears.

He said that, during one of those troublesome days, he promised his mother that he would one day be successful enough in life to buy her a house of her own.

Fast forward to all these years later and King Kaka is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in Kenyan music, and he has fulfilled that promise.

“One day I came home from school and kanjo had placed a very big padlock coz we couldn’t afford to pay Kshs 500 rent, I promised my mom that in the future I’ll buy her a house,” he wrote on Instagram.

“Fast forward 4 days ago we just prayed in the living room of this house that I built for her. The sounds of a testimony and I am happy that she has a place she can call home.”

He added: “Thank you mom for putting on a brave face over the years even when I knew things were not okay. Asante and Be blessed. To all the believers, It’s possible! And God is Love.”
