As she is married to a guy, the former radio host admitted that it has been quite difficult for her to come out as a bisexual woman.

“As a bisexual woman I’ve never really had to “come out” because I’m married to a man but this isn’t the time to mince words. LGBTQIA rights are human rights. I’ll say that again. LGBTQIA rights are human rights. No ifs and or buts.”

After the Ugandan parliament enacted the Anti-Homosexuality Act, which aims to outlaw the identity and lifestyle, Lynda also expressed her support for the country’s LGBTQ people.

She continued by saying that Kenyans should be concerned about what is occurring in Uganda since homophobia is the only issue that unites all the various political parties in the nation.

It would be stupid to assume that Kenya won’t be pressured to follow Uganda’s lead, she said.

Bisexuality is the attraction or behavior to more than one gender, including both men and women.

Lynda Nyangweso’s experience on cyber-bullying

The mother of one in 2019 opened up on her experience on being cyber-bullying after posting a family photo while on vacation.

In the picture she shared on social media, Lynda wore a bikini as she posed with her husband and baby and the trolling forced her to go offline to continue enjoying her vacation.

The comments that followed caused her and her husband pain for days, she told BBC Africa.

The presenter said; “I posted this picture because we were happy, we were having fun on vacation, a regular family on vacation… afterwards I saw that people expected me to wear, I don’t know, garbage bags…”

Other cyber bullies went to her husband’s social media accounts where they posted mean things about his wife.

Nyangweso has been struggling with her weight since her childhood and has in the past contemplated committing suicide.

“The only reason I didn’t go through with the suicide was because I worried my mom won’t find a coffin that would fit me,” she added.
