President William Ruto’s administration has reduced the security detail of prominent government figures from the previous Jubilee administration.
Following widespread speculation on social media that former government leaders’ security officers had been removed, information from persons close to the situation indicated that changes had been made.
According to NTV, the security detail of former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and former Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho has been reduced.
The two officials were formerly guarded by 12 officers each, but that number has now been reduced to two.
Though details concerning Uhuru’s security modifications are still unknown, latest developments indicate that a senior officer from his detail has been recalled.
