“He sleeps with 3 women a day” – Eric Omondi calls out Ringtone, other gospel artists for abandoning ministry; asks them to repent

Kenya’s gospel sector is gone, according to comedian Eric Omondi in a hard-hitting video statement.

“Ringtone sleeps with 3 women a day” – Eric Omondi calls out gospel artists, asks them to repent

Eric is no stranger to mocking other celebrities, but his recent message to gospel singers has gotten a lot of applause from Kenyans.

Though in the secular world, the entertainer has a special call to gospel singers: “Repent and Turn from your Wicked ways or Perish!”

According to Eric, the gospel industry is rotten to the core and only repentance can salvage the situation.

He says many gospel musicians backslid after God brought them to the limelight.

Instead of preaching the gospel, many have prioritized business and others are sinning daily, claims the comedian.

In his long speech, he mentioned Ringtone among the few remaining gospel musicians but alleged that as his friend, he knows that he was engaging in immoral activities every week from Thursday to Sunday. He even claimed that Ringtone sleeps with three women a day in those days.

The funnyman alleges that he has witnessed some of them fornicating, commiting adultery and engaging in homosexuality. He mentioned names, but we leave it at that because we could not independently verify his claims.

He cited the exodus from gospel to secular music as one of the reasons God must be unhappy with them.

“Go back to singing songs inspired by the Holy Spirit,” he said.

He said the only solution is that those who have turned away from God to repent to go back to their calling or else the Lord will punish them.

In an unlikely twist, a good number of Kenyans appeared to relate with Eric and praised him for his courage.

Netizens who agreed with the comedian gave examples in the Bible where God used the least expected instruments to pass his message.

Here are some reactions from Kenyans

“I’ve listened to omondi and I have remembered the the story of Balam in the bible. God used a donkey to speak to Balam and warn him. This is not the Omondi we know who is speaking. Anyone in the realm of spirit would understand this,” Wanja Mwaura wrote.

William Ke Offered: “He has spoken what most preachers don’t have the courage to speak, because they fear criticism i do not know why he has done it but trust me this message is so powerful I think God has decided to use him.”

June Katei said: “We might judge if Eric was the right person to convey this message or if he conveyed it right, but he has a point. Let us all go back to God!! The things happening in these streets, we are living in the end times!! We need God now more than ever!”
