Prison transfers transgender inmate to men’s jail after impregnating two women

A transgender prisoner who had two pregnancies at the sole women’s jail in New Jersey has been transferred to a male facility where she is being held in a vulnerable unit.

According to a representative for the Department of Corrections, Demi Minor, 27, was moved to Garden State Youth Correctional Facility in Burlington County in June.

Minor is currently serving a 30-year term and will be eligible for parole in 2037, according to the correctional department.

According to the Daily Mail, Minor alleged that while being transferred, the guards misgendering and abusing her.

Minor stated in a blog post for Justice 4 Demi that she was singled out by jail guards and that one of them made fun of her when she requested to be stripped and searched.

She stated that she was beaten during the transfer in a different post.

She claimed that while she was briefly detained in the New Jersey State Prison, guards repeatedly referred to her as “a he’s over 30.”
