Apart from Lulu Hassan and Rashid Abdallah, husband and wife, I am sure that you do not know the spouses of your favorite presenters because they like keeping a low profile.
Mkenya Leo did some digging, and here are the spouses of Citizen TV presenters you did not know about.
Ivy Waitherero
Ivy Waitherero is the wife of Sam Gituku, who hosts the Day Break Show from Monday to Wednesday. Gituku is also a senior reporter.
Ivy also works at Royal Media Services as a news director. Ivy and Gituku walked down the aisle on 25th May 2019 at Deliverance Church in Karen.
Jacinta Mueni
Jacinta Mueni has been married to Linus Kaikai since 2012. Linus is the Director of Strategy and Innovation at Citizen TV.
He is also the Chairperson of the Kenya Editors Guild. Jacinta holds a managerial position at Ogilvy Africa, an American advertising agency. Jacinta and Linus have three children, two boys, and a girl.
Sheila Achieng’
Sheila Achieng is the wife of Wycliffe Orandi. Wycliffe presents the daily evening news and lunchtime news during weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
Sheila and Wycliffe met at Royal Media Services and tied the note in 2019 at Citam Church, Nairobi. Sheila still works at Royal Media Services in the human resource sector.
Dorothy Okinyi
Dorothy is the spouse of Citizen TV sports journalist Mike Okinyi. Dorothy and Okinyi have been married for over ten years. They lost their son, Matty, to sickle cell in 2015.
Andrew Matole
Andrew is the husband of Yvonne Okwara. They married in an exquisite wedding in 2014 when Yvonne was still working at KTN.
Andrew is a renowned veterinarian in Nairobi, and he met Yvonne when she brought her pet to his clinic. It is worth noting that Andrew was married before, and he is a father of three. Yvonne and Andrew are yet to have children of their own, but their marriage is blissful.
Salim Cheka
Salim is the husband of the beautiful Mwanahamisi Hamadi. Salim is also a journalist and works at Radio Salaam, a Mombasa-based radio station.
