“Leo Nimeona Simba” Meru Man Scared by Lion Printed On Carrier Bag Finally See Real Lions

Franklin Murimi has finally gotten the opportunity to see a real lion days after he ran away from a shopping bag in Meru.

Murimi’s story went viral on Thursday, May 5 when KWS received reports from locals at Kiangua location of a lion hiding in a hedge.

When rangers rushed to the scene in a bid to mitigate a possible Human-Wildlife Conflict case, they were astonished to find out that it was a lion printed on a carrier bag.

Despite being a false alarm, KWS applauded the public for raising an alarm in order to mitigate a possible conflict.

After being a laughing stock across the country, Murimi finally got the treat of a lifetime after being sponsored to see wildlife.

“Leo niko hapa Maasai Mara, na nimeona simba. Niko karibu nayo sana, hata mnaweza jionea,” said the elated young man. (I am at the Maasai Mara today and have seen a real lion. As you can see, it is very close to me”

He thanked the well-wishers who made it possible for him to leave Meru and go on a tour of the wild.

A few days ago, we revealed that Kenya Wildlife Service has sponsored Mugambi’s family to visit Masaai Mara and see real lions so that they do not ever confuse them again.
