According to the Senator, the attacks were meant to seek public sympathy, while calling on Kenyans to join the protests.

“The attacks against Northlands & E.A spectre intl Co. Ltd were sponsored by Tinga & his sponsor Uhuru for public sympathy addiction with hope that their barren maandamanos can be jump-started. Uhuru & Tinga wakae karibu na lucozade game ndio sasa inaanza energizer muhimu!” the Senator tweeted.

Earlier in the morning, Cherargei urged the police to protect the lives and properties of all Kenyans.

The senator said if the police fail to do this, then hustlers will have to step in.

He said the authorities must use all available means to enforce order against ‘goons’.

“Today is a normal working day across the country. Police must protect the lives and property of all Kenyans failure to which hustlers shall come out to do it. Police must use all means including force to restore sanity and rule of law against Tinga goons/anarchists,” he said.

Northlands City set on fire

Northlands City, has been set on fire by unknown people.

The property was earlier in the day invaded by unknown people who made away with sheep that were being reared on the expansive parcel of land.

Flames of fire captured in the horizon at Northlands City.

Trees were also felled on the farm during the invasion. Police were not in sight.

An official report from authorities was yet to be released but the invasion was seen to be organised by those opposed to the ongoing protests against the government.

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna joined other leaders in condemning the invasion.

“Today it’s clear who is interested in peaceful protests and those who see it as an opportunity to invade peoples private property.”
