Singer Marioo Celebrates David Moya For Using His Song To Make Money
Popular Tanzanian singer Marioo has expressed his happiness over TikToker dancer David Moya who uses his song to make money.
According to him, he is happy for David Moya for the content creator who has used his ‘Mi Amor song to his advantage.
With the song, David Moya has been making a fortune and has gained real notoriety both within and outside of the Kenyan music business.
The musician also disclosed that in order to advertise their work, artists occasionally enter into agreements with content producers.
He continued by saying that one does not want further returns when the marketing is successful for the influencers.
He said:
“Unajua sisi sometimes njia ya promotion tukiona comedian anachekesha kwa mfano rafiki yangu kama Jaymondi nampigia simu namwambia weh chekesha na huu nyimbo iwe kama background ina kua kama njia moja ya promotion unanielewa kwa hivyo ata yule kwa kuwa amekua wacha tutamtumia kwa njia ya promotion isiwe kwamba mimi yule kama dancer ametumia nyimbo yangu ikamwendea vizuri acha apate riiziki yake kupitia huo wimbo wacha acheze,” Marioo said.
Loosely translated to: “You know sometimes when we are promoting a song when we see a comedian like my friend Jaymondi i call him and tell him to use one of my songs as background when he is making his audience laugh and that is one way of promoting a song and so you see Moya as a dancer when he uses my song its one way of promoting it you understand, and it has gone well for him and he is earning a living so let him earn it.”
