“The Nation Media Group continues to tally and publish elections results.

However, due to a reorganization of resources to tally forms 34B released since Friday, updating of results slowed down, it states.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) had permitted media outlets, political parties, civil society organizations, and the general public to conduct their own tallies of the election results prior to the August 9, 2022 general elections. Different actors mobilized resources to carry out the extensive tallying at the center of Kenya’s democracy.

To count the results of the presidential election, media outlets set up their own counting centers.

Despite the fact that all media outlets utilize the electoral commission as their data source, the results have fluctuated between outlets depending on a number of variables, including the amount of manpower and the speed at which the data was processed.
