“Hakukosea mtu yeyote” – Babu Owino’s wife pleads with police to release him

Frida Muthoni Ongili, wife of Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, has disclosed disturbing details concerning her husband’s arrest and confinement.

Fridah revealed in a video obtained by this writer that her husband is being held at a police station in Mwea.

She went on to say that she had been denied permission to see her spouse at the police station in question.

Owino was purportedly detained at JKIA following his arrival from Mombasa and afterwards moved to an unknown place.

After a lengthy search, his wife learned that her husband had been relocated to Mwea’s Wang’uru police station.

“He called me at around 11 pm and told me that he is at the airport, he had just landed and was being detained by the DCI and arrested.

“He told me that he will call me after that but he hasn’t because his phone went off after that and it has been off ever since. All I have been doing is searching for him and I started at the DCI headquarters and I was directed to go to the airport.” she stated

Adding:

“I went there and he was not there, I went to Gigiri and Muthaiga, Kilimani, Embakasi police stations and he was not there. Finally, I was given information that he was in Wang’uru police station in Mwea,” Fridah said in part.

Mrs Ongili went on to say that after traveling to Mwea, she was denied permission to meet or even feed her husband.
