Kitengela Mother Excites Netizens after Offering a Three-Year-Employment Contract to Her Sons Under 10 Years Son

They say, “teach you children the right way when they are young and they will not away from it when they grow older.”

Well, Netizens think that a woman from Kitengela seems to have this saying too far.

Kimoi Jerotich, a Human Resources executive, took to her social media platforms to share an employment letter she offered her two sons, aged six and nine years.

The letter claimed that the two youngsters identified as Ryan and Shawn will work under a three-year contract. Ryan, the nine-year-old, will be tasked with watering the garden while his six-year-old brother Shawn will be collecting eggs.

Interestingly, the youngsters will be earning a salary of Ksh 30 every Sunday, which translates to Ksh 120 monthly. They will be expected to save their money in their bank account.

The letter also hilariously states that the boys will be entitled to housing allowance, school fees, transport allowance, and medical cover, which they are currently enjoying.

The employment letter went viral online sparking mixed reactions among netizens, with some wondering why Jerotich would introduce her young children to money at that young age while others commended her move.

Tuko News had a sit-down with Jerotich, where she explained why she had chosen to offer her young sons the employment contract.

Jerotich explained that she wanted to mold her sons into her a culture of working, earning money, and saving it. She argued that it was best for her to start nurturing her sons at an early age so that they would be disciplined with money when they start managing their own businesses. Her main goal is to teach her sons how money is earned.

She also explained that she wanted to motivate her children to love working, and paying them was her best shot.

She further revealed that she had started the arrangement a while back only that she had not documented the contract. She disclosed that she used to pay them Ksh 20, but had to increase it to Ksh 30 when she saw her sons enjoying the work.

While most people are bashing her moves, she plans to recruit her toddler daughter into the contract once she became five years.
