“Kenyans, please take care of your families” – Rigathi Gachagua’s plea to Kenyans

Rigathi Gachagua, the deputy president of Kenya, has thanked his family for their support and prayers while he has faced challenges.

Gachagua claimed that when he was under investigation by the government, his wife, Pastor Dorcas, and two boys gave him their steadfast support.

“As a Christian, I take this opportunity to thank my wife Dorcas for being a prayer warrior in difficult times and standing by me. I would like to thank my children that you never abandoned me even when state agencies came for me with brutal efficiency. I will forever cherish you.”

The deputy president said that friends and business partners betrayed him during the probe over corruption allegations.

He concluded by urging Kenyans to cherish their families.

“I must tell the Kenyan people please take care of your families. Those are the only people you can rely on. They will always be there for you.”

Addressing the press earlier today, Gachagua responded to Kenyans’ concerns about his dressing, saying that he was too busy campaigning to shop for new clothes.

He also admitted gaining weight during the campaigns, and he was now on a journey to lose it by going from 94kg to 85kg.

“I gained a lot of weight during that time. Now I want to get from 94kg to 85kg, be in shape and fit into my old clothes. When people talk about my style and appearance, I just laugh. They don’t know where I am coming from.”
