Boda Boda Rider dies after ‘ignorantly’ attempting to cross flooded river in Narok

The body of a boda boda operator who was captured on video being swept away by raging floods in Narok County has been retrieved.

Transmara West Deputy sub- county Commissioner Mohamed Noor Hasan on Tuesday said the operator was trying to cross a flooded bridge along the Olalui -Kilkoris Road.

The body was moved to Nyamache mortuary.

In the video that has since gone viral, the boda boda rider is seen attempting to ride across the river against the rolling tide.

He is heard being warned by some of the area residents not to cross, but he does so anyway and is swept off the bike and swallowed by the raging water.
