Anti-Terror Police Raid DP Ruto’s Office in Nairobi

An office associated with Deputy President William Ruto was raided by members of the Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) at Nairobi’s Transnational Plaza.

During the operation on Sunday, July 24, the officers forced their way into the ninth-floor office and left destruction in their wake.

During the operation, they smashed doors and combed through the debris. In a statement to the media, Nairobi Regional Commissioner James Mugera indicated that the raid was intended to confirm rumors that an election-related server was being hosted in the office.

“Two private servers were being moved… We are here to verify,” Mugera stated.

According to reports, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party is set to issue a statement on the matter.
