There was confusion during the signing of MOU agreement with Kenya Kwanza Alliance at Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi on April 12, 2022, after Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru mistakenly called DP Ruto ‘leader of Azimio’ while saluting the leaders.
Governor Anne Waiguru, who attended the meeting immediately realised that she had blundered and rectified her mistake.
While apologising, Waiguru said:
“Sorry, ooh my goodness…my sincere apologies, I was thinking what I would say about them.”
The incident took place moments after she took to the podium to address the crowd.
