Tony Kwalanda, a renowned sports presenter, has been appointed as the latest addition to Cape Media-owned TV47’s star-studded lineup.
The station announced Kwalanda’s arrival on social media, leveraging his extensive experience in the sports world.

He joined Mediamax Network in 2008 as a full-time reporter of news stories, before he was promoted to presenter and editor in 2012. In 2015, he took up the role of digital journalist at K24.
Kwalanda left Mediamax for Switch TV Kenya as a broadcast journalist until the station terminated its broadcast services in December 2021, when he took up the digital desk.
An alumni of Lubinu Boys High School in Kakamega County and Daystar University where he pursued a degree in communication and media studies, Kwalanda also plays a number of sports.
