Jalang’o Breaks Silence After Being Linked to Sh1 Billion Fake Gold Scam

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has revealed a phony gold syndicate including a senator, two members of parliament, a police officer, and several other individuals.

The suspects include Senator Allan Chesang of Trans Nzoia, MP Zaheer Jhanda of Nyaribari Chache, and MP Felix Odiwuor alias Jalango of Lang’ata, all of whom were elected on UDA and ODM tickets, respectively.

However, Langata MP has come out to refute the claims terming them as nonsense.

The vocal legislator vowed to take legal action against the media house.

“Rogue media must be dealt with! After the steps I want to take against Citizen Weekly I dont think they will ever sit down and write a defamatory story on anyone again then call to extort you in the name of we will clean your name! Ill not fall for that nonsense! Good day!” he noted in tweet.

According to reports, the trio is suspected of being part of a scam network that has operatives acting as police, Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), and customs officials, replete with bogus papers.

This elaborate network of deception began to unravel when a Tunisian national was on the verge of losing Sh1 billion in a bogus gold transaction.

This intricate con game was arranged, unbeknownst to him, by the aforementioned trio, who had intimate information about the source and validity of the counterfeit gold.
