Kenyan woman Cris Njoki mourns death of her mzungu fiance

Cris Njoki, the founder and creative director of the sustainable made-in-Kenya women’s clothing line IKOJN, is now in mourning after the passing of her fiancé Guillaume Durand.

Cris shared the heartbreaking news of her loss and paid tribute to Guillaume on her Instagram page.

“It is with immense sorrow. I share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of my long-time partner & fiancé, Guillaume Durand.

His loss has left a profound void in my life that words cannot express,” started off the entrepreneur who also doubles as a social media influencer and a digital content creator.

Cris went on to gush over their relationship and how amazing her late lover was not only to her but generally as a person.

“Guillaume was an incredible father, son, my rock, my best friend, and soulmate.

His love, light, and presence enriched our lives beyond measure. I am eternally grateful for the beautiful moments we shared and the love we experienced together,”

Finishing up she thanked her close circle for the support they’d poured into her as she tried to navigate this devastating period of her life.

She also took time to remind everyone who’d experienced Guillaume’s love even as they mourned to remember to celebrate him as that’s how he lived life.

“Your messages of condolence and support are deeply appreciated during this incredibly difficult time. I kindly ask for privacy for both our families and myself as we navigate this journey of grief.

Let us celebrate the extraordinary person Guillaume was by cherishing the moments we shared with him in his honor. I know he would love that.
