Ciku Muiruri’s daughter rescued alive from abductors after a week

Erica Gachoka, daughter of media star Ciku Muiruri, and her friend Shanice Agose have been rescued by police after being kidnapped for a week.

The two young women went missing after getting into a taxi in Nairobi’s Westlands neighborhood.

However, they were discovered in a residence in Mangu, Waiteithie region, off Thika Highway, thanks to a successful police operation.

Two individuals were captured who were holding them captive.

The rescue operation began when authorities discovered one of the suspects in the Ngoigwa area in possession of Erica’s identity card.

With this information, the authorities were able to track down the location where the women were being held, which was located roughly 10 kilometers away in the Mangu area.

Erica and Shanice seemed malnourished upon their rescue, having taken the physical toll of their ordeal.

Authorities uncovered terrible evidence of the women’s imprisonment within the house.

A mattress without a bed, jerrycans, a bucket, a plastic seat, cello tape, a rope, a candle, phony number plates, a hammer, and a knife were all in the room.

The investigation was a multi-agency effort, with teams tracking the activities of the kidnappers and victims throughout the week.

While demanding payment, the kidnappers constantly switched their cellphones on and off.

The kidnappers sought a ransom of Sh500,000, with Sh250,000 requested for each of the victims.

The families of Erica and Shanice were kept up to date on the inquiry’s progress, and numerous parties were brought in to help with the investigation.
