“Nikuingize Ndani”: Embarambamba makes comeback with new gospel song

Christopher Mosioma alias Embarambamba is back.

The entertainer, who has made his name through theatrics, perceived by some as dangerous, is at it again.

He made a reappearance with a brand-new song called “Nikuingize Ndani,” which he insists is supposed to be an invitation to Christ.

Howevew, his choice of language in his songs has been criticized as being particularly offensive for a gospel performer. But he claims that this is for a reason.

“It might look suspiciaous when I sing ‘Nataka kukuibgiza’ to a woman but the message is I want to make her a disciple of Jesus. I have to use sweet words in my songs that is the reason why they are popular. For music if you do not do something unique it will not sell. There is a meaning to everything I do. When I roll in the mud and tear my clothes it means that I am tearing my earthly clothes that carry my weaknesses and putting on the robe of Jesus,” Embarambamba said.

Despite what people think he says he is not crazy. In fact being different has enabled him to depend on his music to take care of his family.

Either he says he is looking for more video vixen to include in the music video. Embarambamba has not yet released the song but a snippet of it was shared by a netizen on social media.

“I am looking for video vixen to feature in the music video this is the first time I will have women in my song, the others I have always shot them alone. My family understands me and know that what I do is where we get our daily bread,” he said.

Embarambamba is loved by some but detested by others. The king of theatrics goes over and beyond to entertain and has often trended for the wrong reasons.

In 2021, the then KFCB CEO Ezekiel Mutua lashed out at him after the entertainer was filmed in a rather awkward situation with a female reveler.

Through a video on his YouTube channel, the artiste said he had gone to an entertainment joint along Thika Road and asked Kenyans to understand the context of the song that was playing in the background before judging him.

“The song I was dancing to basically talks about how people engage in worldly pleasures and forget God. It is a Kisii song.

“Jesus came to the world for sinners, not the righteous. That is why He freely dined with sinners, to teach them about the kingdom of God,” he said.

Adding: “You cannot tell me to avoid nightclubs, discotheques and political rallies yet they are part of us. We are on earth to follow Christ’s teachings.”
