On March 24, Jesse Wafula Wakukha was apprehended at Landi Mawe in Industrial Area after detectives tracked Jerop’s final talks and activities before she vanished.

Allan Wafula and Timothy Masika, two further suspects who are assisting with the investigation, were apprehended when Wafula’s phone was examined, according to Nation.

Police looking into the death of Jerop discovered that on March 19, Wafula picked her up from her apartment in South B while operating a Mercedes Benz.

They then left for an unknown destination. A CCTV later captured the deceased at a pharmacy in Imara Daima purchasing what appeared to be medicine.

Detectives further found out that later on the same day, Wafula travelled to his rural home in Bungoma using the aforementioned vehicle.

He left the luxurious vehicle there and used public means to travel back to Nairobi on March 24.

Upon his arrest and interrogation, Wafula led detectives to Bungoma, where they recovered his vehicle.

It is believed that the suspect used the vehicle to ferry and dispose of Jerop’s body near Jamhuri Primary School, where it was discovered.

Detectives said the Mercedes Benz had traces of blood all over and samples were taken for a DNA test to establish if it matched with that of the deceased.

It is suspected that the lady was stabbed many times or hit by a blunt object.

At the time of her death, she was an accountant at the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) and also pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Kenyatta University.
