Woman who demanded Ksh200K child support from Ledama now wants fresh DNA
After the first DNA test resulted in a negative result, the mother who believes Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina is the father of her two-year-old kid is now seeking a new DNA test.
On April 1 of this year, the court ordered a DNA test at the government chemist, and on May 4, the findings were presented in court, proving Ole Kina was not the father of her son.
The woman, who claims to be certain that Ole Kina is the father of her kid, nonetheless requests that new DNA testing be done on the infant and Ole Kina at three different facilities.
The woman claims that the negative results are untrue in a new application through Attorney Danstan Omari since she is certain that Ole Kina is the father.
“The applicant has reasonable grounds to believe that the results by the government analyst at the government chemist are questionable or skeptical and not a true reflection of the paternity of the minor” reads court papers.
She claims that she is persuaded that the senator is the child’s biological father by her maternal instincts, which are further strengthened by their sexual relationship.
The woman said she first met the senator in September 2019 and that they shortly after had an intimate relationship that lasted for a significant amount of time in her lawsuit, which she filed in November of the previous year.
She is asking the court to appoint Lancet Laboratories, KEMRI, and Pathway to conduct alternate replacement DNA testing.
She claims that there is probable cause to believe that the government analyst’s result at the government chemist is wrong and mistaken because of Ole Kina’s wealth and power.
She has further told the court that she is willing, ready and undertakes to meet the costs of the three DNA testing at the three facilities.
But if the results come out positive, she wants the court to order Ledama to bear the costs incurred by her for the DNA testing.
She has also urged the order to warn Ole Kina not to interfere with the three tests.
“The court be pleased to make orders cautioning Ledama from in any way using his influence or status to interfere with the results of the testing at the three DNA centres namely Lancet Laboratories, KEMRI and Pathway” reads court papers.
It is also her argument that apart from interference with the result, she also believes that maybe an error occurred that’s why she wants the paternity test carried out at three different centres.
