UPDATE: DCI reveals identity of suspected Mirema gunman who killed Muvota

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has released images of a man who has been named as the primary suspect in Samuel Mugoh Muvota’s murder.

Detectives are hunting for Dennis Karani Gachoki, who is considered to be armed and dangerous, according to a statement from the DCI.

“The armed and dangerous man is suspected to be in possession of a firearm that was snatched from a stupefied Police officer, after a round of drinks at a popular joint in Mombasa, in November 2020,” the statement read in part.
