MP Peter Salasya narrows down his wife-search to Azziad Nasenya

The first-time congressman has recently faced pressure from his peers and the electorate to find himself a suitable wife.

Salasya said that he wanted to meet Kenyan TikTok singer Azziad Nasenya while appearing to buckle under pressure.

“There is this Girl from Luhya land called @AzziadNasenya who made Vaida song go viral. I’m looking for her. She is such an inspirational girl who can be a brand ambassador for us from Kakamega county,” Salasya posted on his official Twitter handle.

Salasya made strides against Azziad after Lurambi MP Titus Khamala intensified his attempts to match the man with a bride.

The cleric provided the young politician with marriage advice in a video that has now gone viral.

Salasya was invited by Khamala to attend services at his church, where he claimed the women behaved themselves.

“Vile umeingia Nairobi iko na maneno mengi. Mimi kama bishop niko na kanisa na tuko na wasichana kienyeji. Kwa sababu hawa wamejipaka mdomo. Wamefuga makucha. Unapata makucha one meters long(Nairobi has so many things now that you are here. As a bishop, I have a church where you’ll find a wife from upcountry. The ones in Nairobi have applied lipsticks and have long nails. One-meter long nails),” stated the MP.

Salasya was reminded by him that Nairobi women would just treat him well to earn his money and then abandon him penniless after five years.

“Tena kazi ni kufanya babe na wakichomoa pesa. Hawawezi kukufulia nguo, kupika. Kazi ni babe na shilingi zinaenda. After five years, nothing(The only thing they would do is caress you and take your money. They can’t even cook or do your laundry),” added Khamala.

Salasya was tasked by Khamala with choosing suitable women from western Kenya who would look out for his interests.

“So you get somebody from home ambaye atatunza maneno yako(who will care for your needs),” stated Khamala.

Later, Tongaren MP John Murumba Chikati joined the pair and revealed that he had found Salasya a good wife.
