New police investigations have revealed that the killers who murdered 4 people in Kiambu, used an unknown woman as a blind bait to draw Mr Obare to the trap.
The bodies of the four people were discovered dumped in Magadi, Kajiado County, and Kijabe woodland, Kiambu County, have been taken to City Mortuary.
The source of the quarrel that resulted in the deaths of the four remains unknown. However, several social media users who were friends with Obegi links him to several frauds including crypto.
On Sunday, June 19, the remains of Elijah Omeka, Frank Obegi, and Mose Nyachae were discovered dumped in Kijabe Forest, while Fred Obare Mokaya’s body was discovered in Magadi.
The victims were brutally disfigured, according to Lari police chief Mr Adamson Furaha.
“One of them had been partly been eaten by wild animals. Their private parts had been amputated and it seems they died through strangulation. They had no identification documents and were naked,” Mr Furaha said.
Mr Mokaya’s family told Nation that they were shocked with the circumstances, and manner their kin met his death.
He went missing on Thursday while his three friends wee reported missing on Tuesday last week.
Family sources linked to the four told Nation.africa that two of the men went to file a missing persons report following the disappearance of one of their friends, only for them to disappear too.
