Mentally challenged lady goes missing while looking for a job in Nairobi

Maria Kavithe, 19, left her aunt’s home in Zimmerman on Monday, June 19, to look for work but never returned.

Her family and friends are desperate for answers, even as law enforcement authorities initiate investigations into her abduction.

According to reports by Tuko, the missing girl had no identification documents nor clothes.

She was advised her to go home and return with ID and clothes before they signed a work agreement.

Maria left, but Caroliter Malusi, never saw her again because she went and did not return; the next thing she heard was that the family was seeking for her.

“She is from Makueni but says she is from Machakos. The daughter to Marrietta Kamene who is deceased,” the would-be employer said.

Malusi disclosed that the teen has been living with her Aunt Jacinta Mueni Mwanzia, near Onecan academy, White House.

She added that the youngster is a special needs person and, therefore, sometimes loses track of her speech and actions.

“She was last seen within the Deliverance Church Zimmerman area wearing black tights with red and white stripes, a black jacket, and blue crocs,” Malusi continued.

The worried family revealed that the missing woman claims to be an orphan looking for a job.

It is believed that if she requests for employment, it would most certainly be domestic work because she only studied up to Form Four.

Maria’s family, consumed by anguish and uncertainty, has issued a heartfelt plea for assistance from members of the public.

They have implored anyone with information about the teen to report to the nearest police station or reach the family through 0710426103 and 0797148991.
