Rick Ross declares interest in Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, after dumping Hamisa Mobetto

Social media is currently on a meltdown after popular American rapper Rick Ross declared his interest in talented Nigerian female singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe aka Ayra Starr.

The chubby lyricist who once collaborated with P Square in the past had in an Instagram video gushed over Ayra Starr describing her as beautiful and talented.

Rick Ross who once visited Nigeria in 2012 where he headlined a show also used the medium to propose a toast to her and saying he would like to celebrate her when he comes to Nigeria.

His comments have sent scores of netizens into a frenzy with many taking to social media to joke about what the relationship between the pair may turn out to be in the future.

One year ago, Rick Ross confirmed he was dating Diamond Platnumz’s baby mama, socialite Hamisa Mobetto.

During a live Instagram session, the rapper asked Hamisa to clarify to their fans their relationship status, to which she insisted he should be the one to answer.

“Yes she’s mine,” he responded with a smile.

Rumours of their relationship first hit social media in 2021 when Hamisa and Rick Ross met in Dubai and shared a video of them getting cozy.

To Rick Ross, Hamisa is a beautiful, hardworking woman.

“She is such a beautiful person, beautiful spirit and she is a huge entrepreneur and I want to help her take it to the next level because she is doing a great job and I’m proud of her,” he said in a previous interview.

However, after one year, the Tanzanian socialite Hamisa Mobetto made a U-turn, claiming that they are just friends.

The mother of two says she has never been romantically involved with the bearded rapper as it has been widely believed for a long time.

“Rick Ross and I are best of friends. We have never been in a love relationship whatsoever…It has never happened,” Hamisa said.

The American rap icon is father to four children, Toie Roberts, 19, son William Roberts III, 16, daughter Berkeley Hermes Roberts, 4, and 3-year-old son Billion Leonard Roberts.
