Most Kenyans will be interested in learning how Odinga’s diehard supporter, Nuru Okanga, fared when Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu releases the results of the KCPE and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) this Thursday, November 23.
The vocal political activist was among the 2023 KCPE candidates after registering for the examinations at Muslim Primary School in Mumias, Kakamega county.
As we wait for his results, Nuru expressed his anxiety worse than elections.

Why Nuru Okanga went back to school
Okanga admitted that he went back to school to make sure he was qualified for the jobs and assignments of the upcoming days after arriving in Nairobi and sitting for his exams.
His intention to run for the Kholera ward in Kakamega county as a Member of the County Assembly (MCA) has already been stated.
“I went to school for a reason. I have much I need to know, and the government regulations require certificates. I will also pursue high school studies and sit for the national examinations. I know I have a great future and will transition to high school. It doesn’t matter which school specifically,” said Okanga.
He expressed optimism that he would pass his examinations and appreciated the support from fellow candidates, teachers, and examination supervisors, who told him he would be a great and influential leader.
The fast-rising politician said the examinations were fine and he expected to excel, approximating his score at between 280 and 300 out of the maximum possible 500 marks.
“I thank God I sat for the exams, and they were okay. I expect good results unless they get altered because of my political stand. My only fear would be if my papers land in the hands of a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) supporter, but if they mark it objectively, I will pass,” Okanga observed.
He informed his critics that he did not object to their request that his composition papers be gazetted for public reading in both English and Kiswahili.
Prior to this, Okanga had disclosed that Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah had employed a private tutor to assist him in his academic endeavors.
