“Waraka wa Zakayo” – Mammito releases new song criticising President Ruto
Comedienne Eunice Mammito has shocked Kenyans after releasing a new song criticising President William Ruto’s gov’t.
In a piece titled ‘Waraka wa Zakayo’, Mammito criticized Ruto for taxing Kenyans excessively.
The popular song Waraka wa Amani by Bahati Bukuku was sampled for the parody.
Personifying the essence of Truphena Mzalendo, Mammito bemoaned the fact that corruption was causing the country to lose KSh 2 billion every day, on top of debt and graft, as revealed by Uhuru Kenyatta in 2021.
Adding:
Mammito claims that Ruto has turned into a master of making empty promises and appears to have given up on the promises he made during the campaign trail in anticipation of the elections in August 2022.
The comedian pointed out that the president continued to travel extensively even after promising to reduce his overseas travel in response to criticism of government spending.
