According to reports, Alai charged that former Kisumu MCA Jacktone Ojwang had headbutted him after approaching him and starting a fight between the two.

It took the hotel staff’s assistance to restore order, a source at the scene said to the media.

“Alai was confronted by former MCA for Nyalenda B, Jacktone Ojwang Ogendo, who head-butted the reportee on the forehead thus sustaining a slight cut on his forehead,” read part of a police report according to Nation.

According to Kisumu County Commissioner Josephine Ouko, investigations were launched after Alai recorded a statement detailing the incident.

He affirmed that police officers were on course to establish the motive of the alleged assault.

It was reported that Ojwang was infuriated by a previous tweet from Alai over defilement allegations, which led to the squabble between the two politicians.

While recording the statement with the police, Alai sought the detectives and Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o to investigate Ojwang over defilement allegations.
