Senator Moses Wetang’ula issued a warning to Raila Odinga of Azimio la Umoja prior to the presidential debate,
Leaders of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance praised Rigathi Gachagua for her outstanding performance in the most recent vice presidential debate.
On Wednesday, July 20, Wetang’ula said that William Ruto, the deputy president, will use the debate to instruct Raila on how to rule the country.
Wetang’ula said that the Kenya Kwanza Alliance presidential hopeful would be dealt with similarly to how Gachagua dealt with Martha Karua.
“Just like Gachagua did to Martha Karua, that day our chief hustler we come equipped with economics from Musalia Mudavadi, fluent English from Wetang’ula, interests of hustlers and those of all Kenyans. You will see how he will peel the man of riddles (Raila) like an onion,” Wetang’ula said.
Adding:
“We are going to them what we are made of, made of steel, determination, focused and we know where we are and where we going.”Â
In a recent discussion between Gachagua and Karua, there were many bare-handed tackles, leaving the two political parties divided over whose side performed better.
Kenya Kwanza Alliance leaders expressed confidence that Gachagua would perform better than Raila Odinga’s running mate for president in 2022.
“Hon Rigathi, hit nail on the head on the issue of state capture. Interestingly Hon, Karua was reluctant in speaking on that issue lest she implicates her benefactors in Azimio who are at the core of the state capture,” Kithure Kindiki said.
On the other hand, supporters of the Azimio la Umoja coalition asserted that Ruto’s running mate relied on notes and that Karua performed better than Gachagua.
