Bright Girl from Poor Family Who Scored A in 2021 KCSE Gets US Scholarship

Lynn Nyawira, a needy girl from Meru County who excelled in the 2021 KCSE exams has been luck to secure scholarship to study in the United States.

Lynn studied at Chogoria Girls, where she got an A with 82 points.

Here’s the breakdown of her grades:

A in English, A in Kiswahili, A in Mathematics, A in Biology, A Minus in Physics, B Plus in Chemistry, A Minus in Geography, and an A in CRE, with an A in English, A in Kiswahili, A in Mathematics, A in Biology, A Minus in Physics, B Plus in Chemistry, A Minus in Geography, and an A in CRE.

Scholarship

Lynn Kawira’s parents and a guardian were among those who awarded her a fully funded four-year scholarship after she excelled in her KCPE exams in 2017.

 

“Lynn has been enjoying a full scholarship from my office. Remember her from December2017? She was the best in Abogeta West with 434 in KCPE! Glory to God,” said Kiogoria who sponsored her secondary school education.

In 2017, Kiogoria paid a visit to Lynn’s family after the KCPE results were revealed, and he discovered she was the best student in his ward when he found she came from a poor home.

 

Lynn had two other siblings in high school at the time, and her mother was considering sending her to a nearby school owing to a lack of funds.

Her siblings had amassed school fee balances as well, which their mother had yet to pay.

The Abogeta West ward MCA then promised to sponsor her secondary school through the Ward Development Fund, while the Kiraitu Murungi Foundation promised to help her with shopping costs.
