On Thursday, February 28, a former Kenyan ambassador to the Netherlands and comptroller of the Statehouse passed away.
Ambassador Ukur Yatani expressed his sympathies to the family upon learning of the news, saying,
“My condolences to the family of Amb Lawrence Lenayapa following his passing on this morning. May Almighty God rest his soul in eternal peace and give solace to the family.”
The Ambassador commenced his service in Kenya’s mission to the Netherlands in 2018, followed by his tenure as the State House Comptroller for the Kenyan Presidency.
Previously, he held the position of Principal Secretary at the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources.
