1. He is a married man

Hussein Mohammed wife goes by the name of Malyun Mohammed. The pair tied the knot six years ago. His colleagues, including Janet Mbugua and Willis Raburu, attended the ceremony, which happened in December 2014. It was a conventional Muslim wedding at Masjid Nur at South C.

There is a photo of him holding what we can only assume is his child on his Twitter profile picture. Other than that, the status of his child or children is unknown to the public. Same case as his wife. He keeps his family life private.

2. He no longer works at Citizen TV

After ten years of monumental work, Hussein Mohammed resignation from Citizen TV Kenya had many in a great sense of loss. Kenyans loved his collaboration with Janet Mbugua during ‘The Big Question’ when the two used to host it.

Many more loved his work hosting prime time news every Tuesday. Fans from all over the country expressed their sadness at seeing him go.

From his workmates to some of his superiors, Hussein Mohammed caught many off-guard when he announced his exit from the TV station. Many expressed their dismay at the development but also thanked him for his work ethic.

President Uhuru Kenyatta conferred unto Mohammed the honour of Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS).

Like most former Citizen TV news anchors, Hussein Mohammed has through his social media platform, announced that something is definitely in the works and that Kenyan should expect to see him soon.

At the end of the year 2019, the internet had it that he might be joining an international broadcaster. His next time on screen might be on Al Jazeera TV.
