President Ruto holds first church service at State House (PHOTOS)

President William Ruto on Sunday hosted a church Service at State House presided over by Bishop Mark Kariuki after returning from New York.

Ruto was accompanied by First Lady Rachel Ruto when they convened a thanksgiving service at State House Gardens, Nairobi.

Also present were DP Rigathi Gachagua and other Kenya Kwanza leaders.

The service is first of its kind to be held at State House since Ruto moved into the residence after his swearing-in on September 13.

Ruto returned to Kenya over the weekend after a week long visit to New York, London.

The President attended Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in the UK before attending the 77th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

During his visit to the New York, Ruto met US president Joe Biden.

Ruto said Kenya will continue expanding its strategic partnership with the US.

“Kenya will continue expanding its strategic partnership with the United States of America to advance peace and prosperity in Africa,” he said.

The two champion an almost similar economic revival model of bottom up.
